Why use 24 V lighting?
24 V AC or DC luminaires are used where there is:
- risk of electrocution,
- presence of moisture or water (car washes, CIP areas),
- requirement of increased safety due to working around people or surge-sensitive equipment,
- contact of the electrical system with metal structures, which increases the risk of a short circuit.
Low-voltage 24 V power supply is classified as a human-safe voltage, which means that even if the luminaire or wires are damaged, the risk of shock is minimal.
