24 V lighting – safety and reliability in demanding conditions

3 July 2025

In many industrial plants, worker safety and process reliability depend not only on the machinery used, but also on the right choice of lighting. One of the solutions particularly recommended in high-risk environments are LED fixtures powered by 24 V. When is it worth using them and what benefits do they bring?

Why use 24 V lighting?

24 V AC or DC luminaires are used where there is:

  • risk of electrocution,
  • presence of moisture or water (car washes, CIP areas),
  • requirement of increased safety due to working around people or surge-sensitive equipment,
  • contact of the electrical system with metal structures, which increases the risk of a short circuit.

Low-voltage 24 V power supply is classified as a human-safe voltage, which means that even if the luminaire or wires are damaged, the risk of shock is minimal.

Therefore, lighting of this type is widely used in:

  • food and meat processing plants,
  • pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries,
  • industrial washing plants,
  • power plants, transformer stations,
  • laboratories and test rooms.

Advantages of LED 24 V luminaires

✔️ Safety of use – thanks to safe voltage we reduce the risk of shock.
✔️ Moisture resistance – luminaires are available in IP66/IP69K rating, which allows direct pressure washing.
✔️ Durability – thanks to robust housings and tight mechanical/electrical connections
✔️ Easy integration with control systems – luminaires can be powered from local power supplies, central UPS systems or low-voltage networks.
✔️ Minimized consequences of failure – in case of a short circuit, no dangerous voltage is transferred to the housing or the surroundings.

Our LED 24 V luminaires – proven in practice

In response to the needs of manufacturing and energy facilities, we have developed a line of low-voltage LED luminaires that meet the highest quality and safety standards.
